**Assembler / Deburring Technician**

**Wage: $20.00 to $25.00 Depending on Experience**

Assembly and Deburring can be tedious work, but it is extremely important. When parts are not assembled accurately, or particles and shavings are not removed and then dislodged while in use, it can cause major problems. You are part of helping to keep an aircraft safe

We have a great opportunity for an individual that has good hand-eye coordination, is detail orientated, good with small hand tools and okay with doing repetitive work.

As our **Assembler / Deburring** **Technician **you remove raised particles and shavings that appear on various aircraft components and complete final assemblies. You provide overall support to all Assembly and Deburring functions.

**We are seeking a person with the following skill set and competencies**:

- **1 plus years' **experience with grinding, deburring and assembly in an aerospace or automotive work environment
- Mechanical abilities and experience using measuring instruments.
- Ability to read and work with production work orders, blueprints, diagrams and assembly manuals.
- Initiative and ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong sensory skills (good eyesight, hand dexterity, hand/eye coordination)
- A grade twelve diploma or equivalent is a requirement.
- A certificate or diploma in Aircraft Structural Assembly or related trades is an asset.

**Your skills and competencies will help you**:

- Use various hand and air tools for the finishing (sanding/grinding) of precision metal parts.
- Removing loose or fixed burrs, clean up sharp edges, polish and blend machined surfaces.
- Perform bench assembly of aircraft parts using various tools and equipment.
- Construct metal components and mechanisms using various production techniques including but not limited to riveting, unriveting, sealing, fastening, swaging of bearings, drilling, masking and painting.
- Inspect dimensions to ensure components adhere to blueprint specification.
- Maintain a clean work area and ensure strict adherence to 5S Standards.
