We are currently looking for an **Environmental** **Professional** to join our team in **Alberta**. This position offers the opportunity to work in Tetra Tech’s expanding Environment and Water Practice with a team of experienced scientists and engineers. The focus of the position will be to provide environmental consulting services to a variety of clients throughout Western Canada.

**Your Role**:

- As an Environmental Engineer / Scientist, you will prepare project plans, supervise field teams, collect and analyze field data, communicate and coordinate with contractors, prepare technical reports, and write proposals.
- Assisting in managing work schedules and controlling budgets within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, landowners, and other third parties.
- Build and maintain client relationships.
- Mentoring of junior team members.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 5 years related experience in the areas of environmental site assessment, risk management and remediation.
- Environmental consulting experience in contaminated site assessment including monitoring well network design and installation, contaminant assessment and delineation, risk management, and remediation action plan preparation.
- Experience in physical and contaminant hydrogeology would be an asset.
- A minimum Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geoscience, or environmental science.
- Current standing as professional member of APEGA or AIA (P.Eng., P.Geol, P.Ag), or in another Canadian province is a requirement.
- In depth knowledge of the Alberta Tier 1 framework, and federal environmental regulations, guidelines and standards related to Contaminated Sites.
- Strong work experience in field-based investigations including contaminated site assessment and remediation, and hydrogeological assessments.
- Mechanical aptitude would be an asset for troubleshooting and problem-solving equipment in the field.
- Demonstrated competency in soil and groundwater sampling, drilling, test pitting, monitoring well installations, aquifer testing (e.g. slug, step, pumping and packer testing).
- Experience in analyzing groundwater flow and aqueous chemistry data and assessing contaminant behavior in groundwater.
- Excellent communication skills: both oral and written including the quality to produce highly professional reports and proposals.
