The Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills (PSFS) provides leadership and direction for post-secondary education and skills training systems in British Columbia as well as the dissemination of labour market information and the delivery of labour market programs. The Ministry plays a key role in helping British Columbians from every background and region to have the opportunity to reach their full potential. The Ministry administers a suite of student financial assistance programs that help eligible students offset the costs of their post-secondary education, as well as labour market development programs to ensure British Columbians have the skills needed to take advantage of job opportunities. The Ministry also has an oversight role for the following Crown corporations: British Columbia Council for International Education, and SkilledTradesBC.

The Procurement Coordinator manages the flow of documents and transactions throughout the procurement cycle, in support of all PSFS Program Areas.

Job Requirements:

- Diploma in business or a related field **and **6 months *related experience; **OR**:

- Certificate or coursework in business, contract management or a related field **and **1-year *related experience; **OR**:

- Secondary School graduation (Dogwood, GED) **and **2 years *related experience; **OR**:

- An equivalent combination of education and *related experience may be considered.
- Related experience includes the following:

- Experience preparing, tendering, and awarding contracts.
- Procurement and contract administration

Preference may be given to applicants with one (1) or more of the following:

- Experience with the full procurement life cycle (including planning, award, contract management, evaluation and close-out).
- Understanding of government financial (budget, accounting) policies and procedures.
- Experience in contract law, trade agreements, public procurement policy and Government procurement practices and issues.
- Risk management, conflict resolution and business relationship management.
