**Trade Show Installer**

Global Convention Services Ltd. is seeking results-orientated self-starters to join our team as Trade Show Installers based out of our Halifax, NS location.

Our events consist of regional, national, and international trade shows, sporting events, and conferences.

Every event is different, which means every day brings new and exciting tasks and challenges.

**The Role**

Our installers directly contribute to our organization’s success as the backbone of our operations. The focus of the role is installing and dismantling trade shows and other events. Installers are also responsible for moving freight and equipment to and from event sites and ensuring all installations are clean, presentable and set to client's specifications.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Installation and dismantling of trade shows throughout Halifax and surrounding areas including pipe and drape, carpet, specialized booths, furniture, and signage.
- Developing a basic understanding of the material handling process.
- Movement of freight and equipment from the warehouse to the event venue by hand or using pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Ensure all installed equipment is left clean, presentable, and in working order for clients.
- Collaboration with other onsite installers and management before, during, and after events.
- Maintaining a positive and professional attitude.

**Qualifications**
- A valid driver's license is considered an asset.
- Forklift certification or willingness to become certified.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must have a flexible schedule and the ability to work long hours, evenings, and weekends, as dictated by the schedule of events.
- Forklift training and experience.
- Carpentry skills and experience.
- Electrical knowledge and experience.
- Experience driving 3-tonne, 5-tonne, or larger trucks.
- Experience installing vinyl adhesive graphics.
- Experience leading small teams of 5-10 operational staff.

**Salary**: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
