International Business University (IBU) is a new and unique teaching-focused university specializing in business education that is looking for highly talented, motivated, and qualified faculty and professionals, ready for the next level of challenge in their careers.
**Position Summary**
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop and lead the delivery of IBU’s Career Services programming through workshops, events, industry expert speakers’ series, and other resources to further enhance the development of employability skills.
- Build a Career Services Centre as a focal point for students’ career development activities.
- Provide career expertise to students regarding the job-search process and networking, interviewing, resume and cover letter writing, and all other facets of career planning.
- Provide individual assessment and feedback of resumes and assist students in the design of their job search strategy.
- Cultivate trust with students through 1:1’s and create an environment that encourages the development of self-efficacy, resilience, and career optimism.
- Develop and maintain quality relationships with industry partners/employers as the main point of contact ensuring employer needs and expectations are being met.
- Keep up to date with industry trends including but not limited to researching labour market trends, attending meetings, and networking with external organizations.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Human Resources, Education).
- Minimum three years’ experience in career counseling, workforce development, or a related field.
- Knowledge of human resources management, recruitment practices and career services within an education environment is an asset.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong counseling, networking, and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to seek creative solutions to multi-faceted problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an environment that embraces cultural diversity and act with ethics, accountability and integrity. Demonstrates sound judgment and respect for the individual in all interactions with others.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
