Shuttle Driver

As a Shuttle Driver, you will be responsible for passengers’ safe and efficient transportation to and from designated locations. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and safe vehicle, and ensuring on-time arrivals and departures. This position requires excellent communication skills, solid attention to detail, and a commitment to providing a positive experience for passengers.
The shift rotation alternates between 2-3 days per week.
**Shuttle Driver Responsibilities**:
- Safely transport passengers to and from designated locations, following predetermined routes and schedules.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting passengers, assisting with luggage, and answering any questions or concerns.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the shuttle vehicle, including performing routine inspections, fueling, and reporting any mechanical issues or damages.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations to maintain a safe driving environment for passengers and other road users.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, including passenger counts, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Parking and retrieving vehicle from the service drive though and lot.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, passengers, and fellow drivers to coordinate pick-up and drop-off locations and address any changes or delays.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including dress code and professional conduct standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance driving skills and knowledge of shuttle operations.
- Follow strict schedules to ensure on-time arrivals and departures, adjusting routes and times to accommodate traffic or unforeseen circumstances.
**Shuttle Driver Required Skills**:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with various passengers.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful or challenging situations.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and ability to perform routine inspections.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts.
- Knowledge of local routes and landmarks is preferred.
**Required Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in a driving role, preferably in a shuttle or transportation environment.
- A clean driving record with no DUI convictions or major traffic violations.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and physical exam.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy luggage, up to 50 pounds.
- A certificate or training in defensive driving is a plus.
- Knowledge of essential vehicle maintenance is preferred.
