**Responsibilities**:
Greeting guests and determining their dining preference location

Preparing room(s) for dining as needed; tableware, decorations, condiments etc.

Helping guests with food and beverages selection by presenting menu; offering cocktails; suggesting courses; detailing chef's specialties; identifying appropriate wines; answering food preparation/ingredient questions

Staying updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc.

Transmitting orders to bar and kitchen by recording guests’ choices; identifying any special dietary needs or special requests

Serving orders by picking up and delivering guests choices from bar and kitchen; deliver accompaniments and condiments from service bars as needed and requested

Responding to guests’ requirements by inquiring of needs; observing dining process

Maintaining table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs

Properly serving wine at the tableside

Protecting establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies

Concluding dining experience by acknowledging patronage; inviting guests to return

Obtaining revenues by totaling charges; issuing bill and completing payments

Assisting in training new employees as required

Following all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines as requested

Assisting with banquet special events

Promptly addressing customer service issues

Cooperating and communicating with all Trail Hub staff

Attending team meetings and participate in mandatory training as required

Providing general support in other areas of business at Trail Hub as requested

**Requirements**:
Previous serving experience

Positive, engaging personality, and professional appearance

Strong interpersonal skills

Ability to use point-of-sale systems, cash register and ordering information system

Ability to multitask and to cater to multiple groups at one time

Ability to effectively resolve conflict, accept feedback, and problem solve

Knowledge of basic math equations and computer systems

Food safety training certification

Strong work ethic, with a willingness to take initiative

Confident, outgoing and positive demeanor

Ability to be mobile for entire shift, bend, stoop and life a moderate weight

Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including evenings, weekends and public holidays

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Uxbridge, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:
