We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Lead to join our Corporate Supports team In this role you will provide leadership, support, and coordination in the implementation of our ongoing IT initiatives. You will use your specialized knowledge and diverse skill set to ensure the efficient and seamless delivery of IT resources and support to the organization. We are looking for someone who will engage with and support our employees, vendors and other internal and external stakeholders.

**WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING**:

- Action IT onboarding and offboarding processes which includes ensuring equipment and onboarding documents are available to new hires.
- Effectively deploy IT and telecommunications systems across the unified organization and distributing equipment and maintaining inventory-management systems.
- Take a proactive approach to providing technology advice and direction by evaluating present and future needs, trends, problems and service opportunities.
- Document and investigate the root cause of repeated IT issues and evaluating ongoing gaps in processes and making recommendations for how to improve them.
- Perform risk assessments on our systems and processes and implement IT security practices to best protect Camino from vulnerabilities including security checks on SharePoint access.
- Develop and conduct training sessions and materials for end users. This could take the form of creating SharePoint tutorials, lunch and learns and other written materials.
- Assist with new IT implementations including taking the lead on Camino’s new phone system implementation and the training materials needed to support that rollout.

**Additional Responsibilities Could Include**:

- Support programs with their IT infrastructure and database systems on an as-needed basis.

**WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR**:

- Strong knowledge of technological trends; excellent understanding of server based networks; knowledge of best practices
- Experience managing IT security with good understanding of disaster avoidance and recovery issues.
- Customer focused with strong ability to deal with all levels of the organization
- Strong project management and organization skills
- Ability to plan and work within a budget appropriately
- Proven ability to manage network service providers and third parties
- Technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems including Microsoft Exchange, SQL, and server management (infrastructure planning and development)
- Experience in progressive roles in technology networks and system supports

**ARE THERE BONUS POINTS?**
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science/Engineering, Business or a related IT discipline
- Experience working in the not-for-profit sector
- Certification in MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) and PMP (Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute)

**ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD KNOW?**:

- This is a permanent full time position that requires on-location support across our locations in Waterloo, Kitchener, Cambridge and Baden. **Note**: this is not a remote or work from home role.
- Hours of work are typically during daytime hours
- Satisfactory Police Information Check is required
- Must be able to provide either proof of vaccination or documentation providing a satisfactory reason under the Ontario Human Rights Code for not being vaccinated
- Wage: The hourly rate for this position is $27.70 - $39.10.
