We are currently seeking an experienced estimator who will be responsible for efficiently preparing full cost estimates for commercial and industrial projects, including material and labor.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**:

- Prepare accurate project estimates and proposals in a timely manner for Design-Build and Construction projects.
- Independently calculate materials, labor, and equipment costs based on proposals, plans, and specifications, including project closings.
- Determining the potential profitability of electrical projects to assist management in making sound bidding decisions.
- Providing viable solutions to increase project profitability.
- Experience with Accubid estimating software is an asset.
- Work with management and team members to prepare final quotes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors and clients.
- Interpret documentation, specifications and drawings.
- Prepare and review compliant budget and tender documents.
- Maintain thorough records of unit rates for industry standard pricing.
- Analyze current practices and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to achieve company objectives.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:

- Electrical background with experience in commercial and industrial projects.
- Automation experience is an asset.
- 2+ years electrical estimating experience.
- Strong business development and project management skills (preferred).
- Journeyman electrician ticket or engineering technologist (preferred) with strong computer skills.
- Ability to work independently or in a team.
- Effective communication skills.

Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
