Are you experienced in the road construction industry? Are you looking for a new challenge and be part of a great team? We are now hiring for a Lead Hand for our Deficiencies crew for the 2024 Construction Season Be part of a team who does it all - Underground, Base, Paving, line painting, erosion control, and more

As the Lead Hand you will be responsible for assisting the Foreman in all aspects of the worksite and ensuring the site runs as smoothing and efficiently as possible, while ensuring safety is of the upmost importance.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Clearly communicate job requirements for each day to the crew which includes the location of equipment.
- Inspect and operate any equipment to assist operators and fill in as needed.
- Track the direction and flow of trucking coming to and from the job site.
- Support the Traffic Control personnel in ensuring all proper signs and barricades are in place before work starts.
- Determine what tools are needed for the job and ensure employees have the proper materials and equipment to perform the job.
- Must ensure a solid understanding of and comply with the principles of the company’s Code of Ethics.
- Must examine situations in light of the principles of the Code of Ethics.
- Other labour and operation related duties as required.

**Qualifications | Requirements**
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
- Class 5 driver’s license required
- Minimum 1 year experience in a junior role in the construction industry

**Working Conditions**
- Out of town travel required.
- Overtime as required.
- Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
- Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basis.
- Use of Personal Protection Equipment is required.
- Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol testing requirements.
