Payroll Specialist

Servco Industrial Contactors is looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our growing team. We currently employ over 250 people across the two biggest job sites in Kitimat BC at LNG Canada and Rio Tinto. As we continue to grow within the community, province and expand into AB we need an ambitious, strong individual to join our team that is up for a challenge in a demanding but rewarding position.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Payroll Specialist will be responsible for compiling and processing the weekly Payroll. The Specialist will be required to successfully plan, organize, and execute the payroll functions.

The Specialist will ensure the accuracy of preliminary payroll reports, time sheets and spreadsheets, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal and provincial regulations and company policies. The role encompasses administrative and other duties as assigned where necessary.

**Job Duties & Responsibilities**
- Ensure the accuracy of payroll reports, time sheets and spreadsheets.
- Compile and process the weekly payroll.
- Prepare formal communications for employees.
- Draft general forms, letters, reports, and memos as required.
- Adhere to all applicable federal/provincial regulations and company policies.
- Other administrative duties relevant to the position, as required.

**Requirements**:

- 2+ years' experience in a payroll specialist/administrator role preferred.
- Experience with computerized payroll systems.
- Experience running payroll for unionized workers is an asset.
- Experience with BC Construction industries is an asset.
