Headquartered in Hawkesbury, Ontario, Tulmar operates a modern 60,000 square foot facility with equipment ranging from computerized cutting tables, stitching machines R.F. (radio frequency) welding and heat sealing equipment to highly sophisticated testing and certification equipment including cold temperature test chambers, inertia reel testing equipment and computerized measurement and test equipment for quality inspection.
We are currently looking for a **Repair & Overhaul (R&O) Technician **to join a dynamic & close-knit team
The Repair and Overhaul Technician is responsible for repair & overhaul related duties in support of the daily operations of the Repair and Overhaul Department. More specifically, the R&O Technician is responsible for carrying out recertification of inflatable safety equipment including lifejackets, life rafts and evacuation slides. Reporting through computer software for scheduling and client reporting.
Duties & responsibilities:
- Inspect products to ensure conformity with technical drawings, specifications and approved samples (MFR) and to determine the requirement for repair
- Repair or replace defective or worn out parts and components using hand, power or specially designed tools
- Test and adjust repaired products for proper functioning
- Perform routine maintenance
- Calibrate products using hand tools
- Comprehend original equipment manufacturer’s (OEM) maintenance manual for lifejackets, liferafts, and evacuation slides and Maintenance Control Manual (MCM)
- Documentation and completion of inspection documents
- May operate and drive Tulmar vehicle to pick up and deliver various products to and from customers and/or suppliers
- All other duties as required

- High School Diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years relevant working experience. **We provide training**:

- Ability to read, understand and follow manufacturing documentation
- Ability to prioritize and operate in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work alone and with little supervision
- Ability to travel as per the requirements of the position
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Basic Microsoft computer skills
- Flexible and willing to accept new challenges
- Valid Police Records Check paid by the company
