Through the Canada Summer Jobs Program, our Agency is looking for a Child Welfare worker to assist with our day-to-day activities for a duration of 8 weeks.

Under the supervision of the Information and Technology Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for providing services to support/develop the Agency's software, hardware, and computer networks and maintaining the audio-visual equipment, telephone systems, and building security systems. The incumbent would be responsible for completing tasks including but not limited to the following:

- Provide support to personnel who are encountering difficulties with the use of Agency software, hardware(PC's, Laptops, Tablets, Cell Phones, and Servers), computer networks and domains(e.g. Microsoft Suite programs, Virus Protection Software and various 3rd part software), and audiovisual equipment(e.g. scanners, digital camera, teleconferencing equipment and printers);
- Install and support network and computer hardware, software, cabling and peripherals;
- Perform repairs and regular maintenance as required;
- Maintain the database system and security software utilized on the network(e.g. Windows 10, Microsoft Azure, Office365 and Exchange Server) by adding new users and establishing appropriate rights and privileges;
- Perform regular backup of files stored on the network and assist in recovery efforts as required;
- Prepare and provide orientation for Agency personnel on the use of designated software programs(e.g. Laserfiche, Microsoft programs);
- Assist in research and evaluation of software and hardware that are fiscally responsible and promote enhanced functioning of the system;
- Maintain and support Remote Access, Internet security and Virtual Private Networks;
- Configure, maintain and support telephone systems and building security systems;
- Assist with network cleanup and migration to various software systems;
- Perform other associated tasks as required.
