ROLE:
The primary goal for all of us at The Pulpit Club is to provide our Members and their Guests with quality customer service and a friendly home-like atmosphere. The server’s responsibilities are to serve and clear Member’s tables in a timely and professional manner and assist in any way possible to make their experience enjoyable. Servers are also responsible for general maintenance, cleaning and restocking of the assigned area/section, when necessary, to maintain a smooth and efficient operation throughout the shift. Primary responsibility for the Server - Halfway is to serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and to prepare food as ordered. Be attentive to all the needs of our Members and their Guests and be willing to go the extra mile to ensure satisfaction and to exceed the clients’ expectations.

RELATIONSHIP:
This position will:

- report directly to the Associate Hospitality Manager;
- report to the Hospitality Manager
- be required to interact all staff and Management;
- be required in interact with all Members and Guests.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
**1. **Food and Beverage Service**
- Maintain a clean, healthy and safe workplace that meets or exceeds the standards of The Pulpit Club.
- Ensure a safe, efficient workplace using common sense and/or knowledge from previous experience and training.
- Follow all opening and closing duties for your designated area as outlined in the employee manual for Food and Beverage.
- Serve all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as ordered.
- Take orders from Members and Guests, serve from Halfway area or prepare any food items ordered that is consistent with or exceeds The Pulpit Club service standards.
- Prior to the end of shift, key all Halfway purchases into the Jonas system and complete end of day reading.
- Ensure that all cooking equipment, including the barbeque is in proper working order and is consistently cleaned.
- Continually replenish Halfway supplies and stock.
- Knowledge and execution of proper wine service.
- Knowledge of wine, considered an asset.
- Knowledge of proper service etiquette for all food and beverages served within the Clubhouses.
- Ensure designated area is “service ready” and properly maintained throughout the shift.
- Complete all other daily tasks assigned by the Associate Hospitality Manager or the Hospitality Manager.

**2. **Other Duties**
- Assist with month end inventory for the Halfway area, if requested.
- Ensure that all duties are carried out in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and all Company policies and procedures.
- If called upon to do so, assist with The Pulpit Club Emergency Plan.
- Other duties as assigned by Associate Hospitality Manager or the Hospitality Manager.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 3-8 months
Part-time hours: 25-40 per week

**Salary**: $15.50-$18.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
