**Position Overview**
**Responsibilities**
As a key member of the Planning Implementation Team, the successful applicant will be responsible for:

- Administering various development approval processes.
- Preparing reports and recommendations to Committee of Adjustment and/or Committee/Council.
- Maintaining and updating development folders in the City’s property management database.
- Participating on and leading Department and Corporate teams in the review of issues and establishment of positions and strategies on matters of corporate interest, and represents the Department or City on external project teams and committees.
- Making presentations on matters of land use at neighbourhood meetings, open houses and meetings of standing committees of Council as required.
- Participate in and respond to technical questions during Committee of Adjustment hearings.
- Responds to inquiries from the public, development industry, various levels of government, media, staff, applicants and elected officials with respect to matters of land use.
- Appearing before the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) and other tribunals to give expert evidence on the City’s behalf as it relates to matters of land use.

**Requirements**:
This position may require occasional travel between sites and/or City facilities and must provide own transportation.
