**POSITION: Temporary Part -Time Custodian (8 hours per week)**

**Afternoon Shift (3:30 p.m. start)
**SALARY**:$23.77/hour

**LOCATION: Alexandra Community School (Owen Sound)
**STARTING **Commencing as soon as possible and ending May 12, 2023, or upon
**DATE**:return of the incumbent.

**REPORTS TO**:School Principal, Head Custodian, Supervisor of Plant Operations

**NOTE**:This is a unionized position, and as such the successful applicant shall
abide by and be covered by the CUPE Local 1176 Collective Agreement.***

Upon successful completion of temporary assignment, external
Supply Custodial List (with a recommendation from Supervisor, Plant
Operations).

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- To abide by all Custodial related Plant practices and procedures, as well

as follow all Board policies and procedures for Board Employees.
- To complete all assigned tasks.
- To be responsible for notifying the Head Custodian (HC) and/or Assistant

Head Custodian (AHC) of repairs required to the building and equipment
which are beyond your qualifications.***
- To be responsible for equipment checks, minor maintenance and repairs.***
- To be responsible for notifying the AHC, and/or HC of security breaches,
mechanical or electrical failure or any other unusual circumstances.****:

- To draw from stock materials needed in meeting duties.****:

- To receive delivery of supplies and equipment.****:

- To work closely with our community education partners to help ensure the

smooth** **operation of their events.****:

- To perform any other custodial duties as may be assigned.**
**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**:

- A Secondary School diploma or equivalent.***
- In compliance with Article 12 of the current Collective Agreement.
