Description

Representing Strategic Way Consulting, this assignment is at our Client location situated on the Lake Huron shoreline between the towns of Kincardine and Saugeen Shores. We are looking for a detail-oriented, methodical, and collaborative Data Analyst to join our growing team of driven professionals. Working in a dynamic and fast pace environment this individual will be required to be responsive, take initiative, manage multiple priorities and work with mínimal direction.

Assignment Details

Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years working as a Data Analyst or similar role
- Proficient in SQL Server
- Minimum 3 years of experience in data visualization tools, Power BI
- Knowledge of data access through various connectors (ODBC, Excel Power Query, APIs)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, considered an asset
- Understanding of Maximo ERP software considered an asset

Skills Required
- Analyze data using audit, statistical and other methods.
- Create reports to share your findings and recommendations
- Collaborate with leaders and managers to determine and address data and reporting needs
- Create statistical models that depict overall outage trends
- Perform testing and validation of data sets for audit purposes
- Derive insight from data and explain how it can be leveraged it to improve and streamline processes as well as identify areas of concern within transactional data
- Document structures and types of business data.
- Produce easy-to-understand data analysis reports for management
- Ability to identify useful information in data sets and suggest conclusions that support decision making
- Excellent analytical ability and business acumen to collect multiple sources of data and draw conclusions
- Query and mine large data sets to identify patterns and trends that are indicative of potential issues using traditional as well as predictive/advanced analytic methodologies
- Strong analytical capabilities.
- Expert with Microsoft Excel, Active Data, Power BI and various business intelligence and analytical tools such as CaseWare IDEA or ACL.
- Understanding of data gathering, inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and modeling/diagramming techniques.
- Excellent leadership, collaboration, and project management skills
- Keen attention to detail.
- Ability to learn new tools with minimum guidance and work independently.
- Willingness to make decisions and solve problems
- Demonstrated aptitude to prioritize tasks based on comparative importance and urgency
- Professional business communications
- High level of organization, accountability and proactivity
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision and direction
- Previous experience working in a nuclear power plant is preferred

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, information technology, or related field
- Valid nuclear site security clearance is considered an asset
