**SMPIA **(Saskatchewan Media Production Association) is a dynamic, member-based non-profit organization representing the diverse community of screen-media creators, supporters, and workers in our province. From emerging talents to seasoned professionals, we foster collaboration, growth, and innovation within the media production industry.

**SPIN **(Saskatchewan Professional Industry Network), our exciting new initiative, is an online community network designed to engage Saskatchewan’s dynamic workforce, screen-media professionals, creatives, and industry enthusiasts. As a hub for collaboration, SPIN will offer networking opportunities, skill development resources, and valuable industry insights. Filmmakers, writers, artists, technicians, and other stakeholders will find a supportive platform to connect and thrive.

**Position Overview**:
Join our team as a motivated and enthusiastic Communications Coordinator This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and vibrancy of the SPIN network—an online community for Saskatchewan media professionals. You’ll collaborate closely with SMPIA staff and the SPIN manager to engage existing members, attract new participants, and enhance our community. Key training, learning opportunities and mentorship will be provided.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Member Outreach and Engagement**:

- Attract and engage film, TV, and digital media professionals.
- Cultivate relationships beyond the industry.
- Organize virtual meetups, webinars, and networking events.
- Respond promptly to member inquiries.

**New Member Acquisition and Outreach**:

- Assist in outreach strategies and campaigns.
- Identify potential members within Saskatchewan’s media production industry.
- Engage with seasoned professionals and industry experts.
- Promote SPIN’s value proposition.

**Content Creation and Curation**:

- Generate compelling digital content.
- Share relevant industry news and success stories.
- Encourage member contributions.

**Event Planning and Execution**:

- Collaborate on virtual events, meet-ups, and discussions.
- Enhance event visibility and participation.

**Community Interaction and Support**:

- Respond to member queries and feedback.
- Provide accurate information to encourage participation.

**Network Administration Support**
- Assist with onboarding new members.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues
- Provide support to ensure smooth system operation

**Qualifications**:

- **Passion for Media Production**: A powerful desire to contribute to the growth of the media production industry is essential. We value enthusiasm and dedication.
- **Effective Communication Skills**: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must. Clear and concise communication is key to success in this role.
- **Self-Motivated and Organized**: We’re seeking self-driven individuals who can work independently and manage their tasks efficiently.
- **Bonus Points**: Familiarity with community-building or learning management platforms is a plus.
- This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about screen media and looking to gain experience in communications and community engagement._

**Compensation**: $21.00/hour.
