Treesa Builders is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented **HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Officer** to join our Vancouver team. This role is vital to promoting a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with safety standards across our construction sites. **Key Responsibilities**:

- **Safety Compliance**: Ensure all safety regulations and company policies are adhered to on construction sites, identifying any areas of non-compliance and implementing corrective actions.
- **Risk Assessment**: Conduct regular risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential safety issues and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
- **Training & Education**: Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and contractors, covering topics such as emergency procedures, equipment usage, and site safety protocols.
- **Incident Investigation**: Investigate accidents, incidents, or near-misses on site, documenting findings, determining root causes, and implementing preventive measures.
- **Safety Audits**: Perform regular safety audits and inspections to ensure equipment, tools, and materials meet safety standards, and report findings to management with recommendations for improvement.
- **Emergency Preparedness**: Develop and implement emergency response plans, ensuring readiness for potential incidents, and coordinating with local emergency services as necessary.
- **Documentation & Reporting**: Maintain accurate records of safety audits, training sessions, incident reports, and regulatory compliance documentation.
- **PPE Management**: Oversee the distribution, usage, and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure all personnel are properly equipped.
- **Environmental Protection**: Promote environmental stewardship on construction sites by enforcing guidelines on waste disposal, pollution control, and sustainable practices.

**Requirements**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field; certification in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is preferred.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HSE Officer, preferably in construction or a related industry.
- **Knowledge**: In-depth understanding of local health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
- **Skills**: Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to conduct training sessions and write detailed reports.
- **Technical Proficiency**: Familiarity with safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- **Physical Requirements**: Ability to conduct on-site inspections, which may involve walking, climbing, or standing for extended periods.
