**Overview**

Complete Utility Contractors (CUC) is searching for a permanent, full-time, career-minded Hydrovac Operator to join our team to perform excavation tasks, safely excavating around utilities and underground structures.

**What you will be doing**
- Operating hydrovac trucks to perform excavation tasks, safely excavating around utilities and underground structures.
- Utilizing mechanical knowledge to maintain and troubleshoot equipment.
- Performing horizontal drilling, bulldozing, loader operation, paving, building, and digging tasks.
- Reporting any required maintenance or repairs.
- Conducting commercial driving activities as required.
- Maintaining good employee morale, communication, and teamwork.
- Understanding OH&S safe work practices and procedures and following them consistently.
- Providing leadership and aiding in training junior employees.
- Providing feedback to supervisors and management on process improvements.
- Identifying problems and innovation/team coordination.

**What we are looking for**
- Valid Class 1 or 3 BC Driver’s License with clean Driver’s Abstract.
- Familiarity in working around existing utilities.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Positive and motivated with the willingness to learn.
- Attention to detail and safety oriented.
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Have knowledge of OH&S regulations and knowledge of construction disciplines (knowledge of materials and methods required).
- Strong work ethic, reliability and good attitude.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $32.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week

**Experience**:

- Hydrovac Operator: 3 years (required)
- Hydro excavation: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 1 or 3 BC Driver's License (required)
