Chiropodist/podiatrist

**Position: Chiropodist: Permant position with benefits**

**Summary**: The Chiropodist is responsible for establishing clinical foot care services referred to by our growing chain of men’s grooming clinics located within the GTA who meet internal referral guidelines. The Chiropodist is to provide education to staff and patients when requested. The range of services includes the treatment of pathological foot conditions, preventative, promotion, and continuance of preeminent foot health.

**Responsibilities**:

- Understand and develop clinical programs and services with team members to provide foot care services and education.
- Assess and treat foot conditions and disorders throughout our clinics.
- Act as a resource to team members and assist with the coordination of services required.
- Design and implement foot care plans based on presenting conditions and patients’ individual needs.
- Provide foot care education and recommendations for off-loading techniques.
- Ensure appropriate antiseptic techniques, safe procedures and isolation practices are maintained in the clinical setting.
- Maintain current knowledge of policies and procedures.
- Maintain and upgrade knowledge and skills.
- Work in compliance with the Health and Safety laws.
- Other duties as determined.

**Skills and Knowledge Requirements**
- Knowledge and understanding of current Chiropody/Podiatry best practices and guidelines.
- Experience in instrument care and cleaning.
- Experience with the recording and storing of electronic medical records.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability and desire to build an industry leading practice.

**Education Specific Requirements**
- License in good standing with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario
- Additional training and credentials are considered an asset.

**Experience**
- Clinical experience.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
