School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay) has a Vice-Principalship opportunity at Elkford Secondary School with a school population of 200 students, grades 7-12, located in Elkford, BC in the District's eastern region. The District is positioned in Cranbrook, South Country and the Elk Valley and is contained fully within the Ktunaxa Nation, including the communities of ?aq'am and Yaqit ?a-knuqli'it.

The Elk Valley is filled with beautiful scenery, and endless outdoor opportunities, including the renowned Fernie Ski Resort. The area is made up of robust communities offering a range of resort/tourism-focused municipalities, forestry and mining operations.

School District No.5 (Southeast Kootenay) is home to a stable population of students with projections for growth. We are seeking a high-performing education professional with demonstrated success combining their passion for education with administrative experience.

A Master Degree in Education (or equivalent) is required or you are in the process of completing this academic credential. Completion of the Master Degree is preferred. As well, you must hold or qualify for a valid B.C. Professional Teaching Certificate. Additionally, you have a successful portfolio of experiences gained through working in the field of education.
