Description: Course Description. Basic introduction to financial reporting and analysis. Emphasis is on decision-making and interpretation of financial statements and how they can be used to plan a firm's overall business activities through the use of real-world companies. Coverage includes the use of accounting information to prepare a basic set of financial statements. Position Description: All normal duties related to the design, administration and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; supervision of teaching assistants; development, administration and marking of assignments, tests and examinations; calculation and submission of grades to university officials; holding regular student office hours and maintaining reasonable availability for student contact."
Qualification: Required qualifications are an undergraduate and/or graduate degree with a specialization in Accounting; recent closely related teaching experience and /or professional experience related to the course. Proven excellence in teaching Financial Accounting in a degree granting program at a post secondary institution preferred. Preference will be given to those with a PHD in progress or completed in a related discipline.
