Educational Consultant

Keswick, Canada Engage & Learn Full time

We believe that every student has a unique educational journey, and we want to empower students to love theirs. We are looking for educators who have a passion for helping students love their educational journey.

The responsibilities of educational consultants are to meet with clients either in the client's home, in a public location, or online. You will be providing educational support, creating and preparing materials pertaining to the needs of the student and tracking their success through a goal-setting approach in accordance with the company mission and vision. Tutors are responsible for tracking sessions as per their working contract and must update this tracking utilizing our hosting platform.

At Engage & Learn, we offer more than support for the students. It is our core belief that engaging with the student and meeting them where they are in order to inspire learning is our starting point for student success. This means that we emphasize connecting through a relationship with the student to establish trust and motivation in the learning process. After effective engagement goals have been achieved, we believe in a goal-setting theory on both a short-term (per session) and longer-term (per month/school year) basis. We believe that these are fundamental to the student's success.

Sessions can range between 1 hour, 1.5 hours and 2 hours at the client’s request. Tutors will be matched with students based on needs, areas of specialty, and best fit. We may also have an opportunity for group lessons where a tutor teaches a group of approximately 5 students at a time.
