We are currently seeking a:
**Hydraulic Hose Assembler**
The position's responsibilities include:
- Read and interpret basic engineering drawings and associated component specifications in order to manufacture hydraulic hose assemblies for mobile equipment and boom systems.
- Select, measure, and cut hydraulic hoses to lengths as specified by engineering drawings or assembly personnel using hose cutting machine.
- Select hydraulic hose fittings as identified in engineering drawings or by assembly personnel and install same on hoses.
- Maintain stock levels of hydraulic hose fittings, hydraulic hoses and associated equipment.
- Assist in installing hydraulic hose assemblies.
- Assist Assemblers from time to time with component installations.
- Perform plant maintenance duties such as sweeper, recyclables, etc
- Properly follows and uses all safety equipment and reports any non-working safety devices.
- Completes all required documentation such as time sheets and travelers in a complete and timely fashion
- Interprets drawings and part numbers in order to identify parts.
- Meets or exceeds the production standards for volume and quality of work
- Works within expected company standards relative to safety, quality / ISO and environmental matters.

- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints in order to recognize parts.
- Manual dexterity for installing parts.
- A mechanical aptitude is required in order to install parts appropriately.
- Education in a mechanical related discipline / trade is preferred.
- Ability to use and understand WHMIS symbols and materials
- Formal education to a level consistent with SSGD with good math skills.
- Must successfully complete lift truck training and requalify every 18 months.
- Must successfully complete crane training course.
- $1.50 / hr. Afternoon shift premium
- .25 / hr. First aid premium
- Time and one-half Saturday and double time Sunday
- Weekly pay
