Responsibilities:

- Prepare and serve meals and snacks to children in accordance with the daycare's nutrition guidelines
- Ensure that all food handling and preparation practices meet health and safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Collaborate with other staff members to plan menus and accommodate dietary restrictions or allergies
- Monitor inventory of food supplies and place orders as needed

**Skills**:

- Food service experience, preferably in a childcare or school setting
- Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
- Ability to prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children of various ages
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and appliances used in meal preparation
- Strong organizational skills to manage inventory and meal planning

Note: This job description is specifically for the role of a daycare staff member responsible for food service and meal preparation. It does not include other responsibilities typically associated with a daycare position, such as supervising children or planning educational activities.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Full-time

**Salary**: $15.25-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 18 - 35 per week

- Food Handler Certification (preferred)
- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
