**About the opportunity**:
This is a rare and unique opportunity for a Trader at an established and growing investment manager, based in our beautiful Comox offices on Vancouver Island, located at the intersection of Church Street and Beaufort Ave.

**Responsibilities**:
This position will require a very organized, multi-tasking individual who understands the complexities of trade services and the desire to join and support a fast-growing company.

Key responsibilities:

- Model, rebalance and generate trades in accordance with clients stated investment mandate
- Verify the impact to Portfolio models prior to execution
- Send daily trade allocations to custodians, follow up to ensure allocations were posted correctly
- Stay up to date with equity markets
- Analyze investment returns
- Daily management of our portfolios to ensure that corporate actions, rebalances, and cash flows are correctly traded, and reports are correctly generated
- Research events to evaluate trading opportunities, perform pre-trade analysis, bring forth new trading ideas backed by thorough research, and analyze results post trade
- Communicate investment strategy and performance results to clients as required, and provide technical support on concepts to client facing groups
- Contributing positively to our culture
- Ad-hoc projects
- Maintenance of research thesis on securities to meet regulatory requirements, i.e. KYP
- Adherence to compliance obligations and all company policies

Other opportunities:

- Work alongside our Portfolio Managers to help respond to client queries and participate in new client onboarding
- Provide analytical support for sales and marketing activities
- Prepare client and prospect presentations as requested by Portfolio Managers
- Medium term potential to take on additional responsibilities in a more client-facing capacity

**Skill set required**:
Education experience:

- Bachelor’s degree, ideally in a related field like Economics, Finance, or Business
- Willingness to enroll in the CFA program and/or CIM designation
- 1-3 years of experience in similar role
- Excellent knowledge of Excel

Compensation will be industry standard for experience and credentials.

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
