**Purpose**:The Instructor under the direction of the Program Manager, will work as part of a team in a fast paced environment with the main responsibility to share the delivery of NPAAMB curriculum to achieve learning objectives and outcomes as outlined in lesson plans and; to provide ongoing support, advocacy and mentoring to participants during their involvement with NPAAMB courses as they prepare for entering the labour market and/or apprenticeship and skilled trades programs

**Internal Relationships**
- Primarily communicates with the Program Manager for direction and approvals to ensure service delivery is within established policies, procedures and service delivery standards.
- Works with all staff to implement, develop and evaluate the overall projects.
- Actively participates in NPAAMB programs, meetings and projects.

Supervision of participants

**External Relationships**
- Works with community and partners to ensure project objectives are being met throughout applicable NPAAMB Centres.
- Promote and raise awareness of the program to various communities.

Identifies and builds partnerships and effective working relationships with potential community partners for purposes of client referrals

**QUALIFICATIONS AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
- Bachelor’s degree in Education: Aboriginal Adult Education; B.Ed,
- and at least 2 years teaching and/or group based facilitation experience
- and/or 2 yr College Diploma in education, community services and or related field
- or similar with at least 3-5 years workshop facilitation
- Teaching experience is an asset
- Coaching experience considered an asset
- Knowledge of relevant cultural traditions and Indigenous history
- Clear criminal record check/ acceptable vulnerable sector check
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract
- Access to Insured, licensed automobile

**EXPERIENCE**
- Working with Indigenous groups
- Experience working with youth experiencing experiencing various economic barriers
- Building and sustaining community partnerships
- Writing progress reports and meeting updates
- Developing and implementing project work plans
- Strong sense of ethics and the ability to handle sensitive or private information with tact and discretion.

**PREFERRED SKILLS**
- Valid first aid or CPR certification
- WMHIS
- Health & Safety
- Non Violent Crisis Intervention; SAFETalk, Mental Health First Aid

**HOURS OF WORK**

Some evening/weekend hours required to attend meetings, special functions and to meet work deadlines. Travel to all 5 Catchments and other various meetings as required.

**Salary**: $49,980.00-$57,477.00 per year
