Superior Glove Works Ltd. is currently hiring for a **Warehouse Associate - Afternoon Shift **to work in its Acton, ON facility. The shift runs from **3:30 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. Monday to Thursday, and 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. on Fridays**. **This is a temporary contract role with an opportunity to become permanent.**

**More about the role**:
Reporting to the Warehouse / Production Team Leader, the Warehouse & Production Associate - Afternoon shift will support both Production and Warehouse functions which include but are not limited to picking and packing orders, packing and conducting quality checks on gloves, and support the dip line for production.

**Responsibilities**:

- Picking orders using a handheld device - using various warehouse machines to retrieve orders from different rooms and heights while identifying order specifications
- Packing orders into appropriate boxes according to sizing, model, order etc.
- Verifying orders and marking special orders with the appropriate labelling
- Assist with Unloading/Receiving of trucks as required
- Wrapping and building pallets / skids
- Ensure proper product is used to fulfil orders (quantity, size, product code)
- Perform finishing procedures (sewing, labeling, etc.) as needed on specific orders
- Packing of orders in boxes, vend-pak bags, special shipments as necessary
- Part of the chemical mixture process - set up and clean up
- Quality inspection of product throughout production process
- General knowledge of the machine functions to identify potential operation issues
- Record keeping of machine runs and defects
- Wearing of proper PPE and following all Health & Safety procedures
- Support production in other areas as needed including placing gloves on the dip line, gluing and packaging, etc.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- Minimum of one year previous warehouse experience preferred including experience with handheld devices
- Previous production experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong communication skills are essential to be able to work with all departments and outside contacts
- Math skills required to ensure order accuracy - testing is part of the recruitment process
- Forklift, Walkie, WAVE, Tow Motor and Man-Up licenses will be required - training provided, experience/previous license preferred.
- Basic Computer skills essential
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs routinely during regular duties along with bending/walking/pushing/pulling
- Industrial sewing experience would be considered an asset
- Team Player
- Position requires capability to stand for long periods, perform repetitive high arm movements and bending
- Flexibility to work late and/or afternoon shift preferred
- Ability to work safely in following all procedures including chemicals procedures
- Follow and adhere to company’s policies and procedures
