Warehouse & Manufacturing Associate

Solacity is a 17-year old Kemptville based renewable energy supply & design business, working to make the world a little greener. Solacity serves local customers at our Kemptville store & warehouse, sells online all over Canada, and supplies to distributors in the USA. We have an immediate opening for a motivated individual to help us grow our business.

**Responsibilities**

As a Warehouse & Manufacturing Associate you will have wide range of responsibilities, as listed but not limited to the items below.
- Spend about 20% of your time in manufacturing a product we distribute, with the remainder spend in packing, shipping, and receiving
- Picking, packing & shipping outgoing orders
- Helping customers load purchases, at times this can involve lifting of bulky or heavy items
- Receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming shipments
- Keeping track of inventory and notifying when resupplies are needed
- General building maintenance, keeping the warehouse tidy, and other janitorial duties
- General grounds maintenance, including some snow removal in winter

**Position Requirements**
- Physical stamina is required: The job involves being on your feet much of the time, and lifting heavy or bulky items (we have a forklift for the really heavy lifting)
- Basic DIY skills are needed for manufacturing, comfortable using tools such as a drill press, chop saw etc.
- Good communications skills to keep customers informed, in particular via E-mail
- Computer skills in using E-mail, basic MS-Office (Excel in particular), and MS-Windows
- Attentionto detail and safety oriented
- Independent and self-motivated, with good organizational and problem solving skills
- A forklift certificate is an asset but not required, we will train if needed
- A sense of humour & common sense

Solacity is a small company with a great team of people This is a full-time job, 40 hours per week, 8:30am - 5pm Monday through Friday, at our Kemptville location.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $35,000.00-$37,000.00 per year
