We are looking for an HRIS Analyst - Reporting that lives our core values being Caring, Accountable, Responsive, Innovative and Community-minded. The successful applicant will be part of the Human Capital Management Systems team and will partner with the Payroll and Human Resource teams of the Medavie Health Services group of companies to take care of all reporting needs, create dashboards and leverage the return on the Human Capital Management System (HCM) - Workday.

As the HRIS Analyst - Reporting, you will be technically focused on hands-on Workday reporting and calculated fields as part of the HCM team. You will build reports, maintain HRIS data integrity through constant data monitoring, as well as assists other Workday stakeholders in the Medavie Health Services group of companies, Human Resources and Payroll staff with reporting requests. You will provide dashboards and seek to improve user efficiency.

In this role, your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Develop, create and maintain a variety of complex Workday reports (advanced, matrix, composite) utilizing Workday Report Writer.
- Collect the requirements of Reporting from business and end user clients.
- Perform filtration conditions which need to be added in Workday Report as per client requirements.
- Partner with stakeholders (internal/external/HR/Payroll) to understand new report/data requirements and ensure results meet the business needs within Workday and to develop reports that will include data from multiple workday modules including HCM, Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, Benefits, Compensation and Recruiting
- Perform sorting and summation to get the counts in Workday Report
- Perform arithmetic calculation in matrix report for counting, averaging, summing, ranging between maximum and minimum.
- Work on several calculated fields like extract single instance, extract multi-instance, arithmetic calculation, formatting date fields, look up related value, evaluate expression, true or false conditions.
- Assist in the development of quarterly HRIS Metrics including data analysis, interpretation, defining reporting timelines for operating companies who supply some of the data and report preparation.
- Recommend and implement policies on reporting standards and offer technical solutions to gain process efficiency and improve data integrity.
- Educate and promote self-service reporting functionality with end users by utilizing various communication and training methodologies.
- Participate in Workday’s bi-annual releases and review impact to existing reports.
- Effectively collaborate with teams such as HR, Talent, Recruiting, Finance, Payroll, Management and others to create dashboards.
- Join project teams to review reporting needs and complete report requests.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
- Have a post-secondary education with a focus on Information Systems.
- Possess a minimum of three years of HRIS Reporting experience.
- Experience with Workday Report writing would be considered an asset.
- Demonstrate skills with emphasis on decision-making, problem solving and communication skills.
- Project Management experience considered an asset.
- Have strong proficiency working with Microsoft Office tools, such as Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint to compile and interpret quantitative data.
- Have experience in documenting processes as well as performing diagnostic audits.
- Possess the ability to gather and interpret data.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions.
- Have the ability to keep up with technical innovation and trends in HRIS Reporting.
- Must be detail oriented, flexible and able to prioritize multiple projects.
- Demonstrate a customer focus through the anticipation of, and response to, internal customer needs and through the development of strong internal customer relationships.
