**Pay Rate**: $50,000-$60,000 annual + Commission Structure + Benefits *Salary Subject to Change with Experience*

**Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Developing and maintaining a grower book, keeping detailed records of supplier information, contracts and grain quantities.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with grain producers and suppliers in Saskatchewan and prairie provinces.
- Meet minimum quotas for cold calling to grow your producer book and then successfully convert the leads into sales.
- Monitor regional market trends, and gather information on grain prices, quality, and availability.
- Coordinate with logistics teams for efficient delivery of grain within the respective regions.
- Collaborate with the sales team to align with customer demands and requirements.
- Stay informed and ensure adherence to all regulatory and company standards in grain purchasing.
- Participate in industry events and conferences to stay updated on market and regional trends.
- Travel to farm operations to connect with your producer base in person.
- Collaborate with the rest of the procurement team.

**Qualifications**
- A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business, or a related field
- OR; Hands on agricultural experience including farming or grain trading
- Proactive and curious, with a keen interest in the agriculture sector and a commitment to continuous learning and personal development.
- Basic to intermediate understanding of the agricultural commodities market, with a willingness to learn more, particularly in Alberta/Saskatchewan.
- Good negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to grow and develop in these areas
- Familiarity with market analysis tools and software is a bonus but not required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on developing these skills in a professional setting.
- Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to efficiently prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team setting, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills.

**Additional Requirements**:

- A valid driver’s license, is required.
