Government in pursuing reconciliation with the First Nations and Indigenous peoples of British Columbia.

The Strategic Partnerships and Initiatives Division leads cross‐government and community‐based initiatives aimed to close the socio‐economic gap between Indigenous and non‐Indigenous peoples. The Policy and Relationship Development Officer develops strategic relationships with Indigenous communities and organizations to identify opportunities to improve key socio-cultural and socio‐economic outcomes.

**Job Requirements**:

- Degree or higher in Canadian Indigenous Studies, Social Sciences, Economics, Community Development, Public Administration or Business Administration, and a minimum of one (1) year of experience in a position supporting work with Canadian Indigenous communities and or organizations on social, economic, and or community development; OR,
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preference may be given to applicants who have:

- Experience with finance and/or contract management.
- Who identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Métis or Inuit).
- Two (2) or more years of experience in a position supporting work with Canadian Indigenous communities and or organizations on social, economic, and or community development.
- Experience with Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act requests.

This position can be based out of any of the locations listed above.
