Rockwood Oral surgery is looking for a **Certified Dental Assistant** to join our expanding team on **a Full-time basis**

**What we look for**:
- HARP Certified
- WHIMIS Certification
- CPR-BLS
- Certified as a Dental assistant with the Ontario Dental Assisting Association
- Previous dental assisting is preferred but not required
- Strong written and communication skills
- Ability to multi task
- Very punctual and reliable
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in a team as well as individually
**Responsibility**:
- Clinical assisting duties
- Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials, and assisting with dental procedures.
- Ensure all clinical and storage areas are clean
- Take Panoramic x-rays and digital impressions
- Future opportunity to assist in the operating room at HHS for surgical procedures such as facial trauma, orthognathic surgery, and bone grafting.
- Greet each patient in a welcoming and professional manner
- Use the computer to input and update patient records (Experience with OMSVision is an asset)
- Establish strong patient relationship while maintaining ethical professional behavior
- Prepare the surgical room in accordance with infection control and practice protocols for each patient
- Thorough understanding of health and safety requirements
- Accurately and efficiently communicate patient treatment plans with the front desk staff
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
