Sourcing from our surrounding culinary gardens and pastures as well as our local farm partners, Back Forty highlights the areas bounty and has become a sought after destination for cheese and food lovers. With live fire cooking, cider orchard, outdoor adventures, licensed bistro and yearly festivals, Back Forty has become a unique agritourism and food destination.

Team Member / Cook - Outdoor Wood Fire Kitchen
- **Hours / Days Required**_

Re-opening for summer peak season _Friday June 16th_ _- Saturday September 2, 2023_
- Must be available on Friday and Saturdays including long weekends._
- Friday Food Service Schedule 11:30 - 7 pm _
- Saturday Food Service Schedule 11:30 - 7pm_
- (Some additional hours may be required pre and post shift, average weekly hours 16 - 20h)_

There will be an opportunity to work some additional dates and special events including autumn farm to table dinners.
- **Job Requirements**:_
- Assist Chef with food preparation, dough stretching, pizza making and wood fired cooking
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow colleagues
- Must possess a positive attitude and have the ability to stay calm under pressure and be able to handle heavy traffic flow during peak service times
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment. Assist with post shift clean up
- Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
- **Qualifications**:_
- Previous experience in the culinary field preferred (could be in food manufacturing, service role, and or cooking)
- Highly dependable, responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Safe food handling certificate and smart serve certification is an asset and may be required
- **Compensation**:_

We offer a generous compensation plan with hourly rate, plus equal splitting of all gratuities among the team. Employees also receive a substantial discount on our Artisan Cheese and are frequent recipients of delicious staff meals.

Base Rate: $20/ hour
With Gratuities, likely to average $25 -$30 / hour

**Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 3 months
Part-time hours: 18 - 20 per week

**Salary**: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
