**Job Summary**: We are looking for 6 reliable and motivated Kitchen Assistants to support our Client's kitchen Chefs in preparing and serving high-quality meals. The Kitchen Assistant will assist the chefs with various tasks in the kitchen, including food preparation, cleaning, and maintaining a smooth workflow.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Food Preparation**:

- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
- Prepare basic dishes and components as directed by assigned Chef.

**Kitchen Maintenance**:

- Keep the kitchen area clean and organized, including countertops, floors, and equipment.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools, and ensure they are properly sanitized.

**Inventory and Storage**:

- Assist with receiving and storing food supplies and ingredients.
- Ensure proper labeling and organization of stored items to maintain freshness and prevent spoilage.

**Support for Cooking Staff**:

- Provide support to assigned Chef by delivering ingredients and assisting with various cooking tasks.
- Follow instructions from the Chef to ensure food is prepared according to standards.

**Health and Safety Compliance**:

- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and hygiene practices.
- Report any issues related to food safety or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.

**Waste Management**:

- Properly dispose of food waste and maintain cleanliness in waste disposal areas.
- Follow procedures for recycling and reducing waste as directed.

**Customer Service**:

- Plating of dishes for delivery purposes.
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a cooperative team environment.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying heavy items.
- Ability to handle kitchen tools and equipment effectively.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $15.20-$16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

**Experience**:

- Kitchen experience: 1 year (required)
