YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:Support the organization on key processes of international trade compliance by developing, implementing, and monitoring efficient controls and corrective actions to maintain best practice in compliance. Support the BRP product classification process across all regions: NA, EMEA, LATAM and APAC. Provide technical information to support government audits and official requests worldwide. Prepare documentation to support the strategic decision-making process among BRP stakeholders but also before authorities in the regulation and definition of the legal framework applicable to our products. Be part of a team of dynamic and passionate professionals influencing the way people move. Review and monitor product and material classifications provided by our business partners. Lead Classification Internal Audits to ensure high-quality standards and accuracy in the BRP classification of finished goods, part and accessories, components and raw materials, and propose and implement corrective actions. Participate in the documentation process to answer requests from customs authorities such as CF28, CF29 from CBP, but also from CBSA, SAT, and worldwide. Support BRP ruling requests to customs authorities. Implement processes and controls to ensure BRP complies with AD/CV measures implemented by countries in the BRP footprint, based on classification, origin and open cases, and ensure best in practice record keeping. Prepare technical documentation of Tariff Classification to support BRP analysis, considering alternative end uses, functionalities and technical features. Identify and monitor applicable ECCN classification according to BRP products, alternative uses and operations, keeping the appropriate controls and audit trail documentation. Monitor different compliance aspects of trade programs to support local production (IMMEX, FTZ, duty deferral, IPR, OPR, Bonded Warehouse). Influence and support regional classification compliance strategies. Support multiple compliance factors such as origin and marking determination, applicable rules of origin for free trade benefits, management of surtaxes and exclusions, classification updates, etc.THIS ROLE IS A GOOD FIT IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:A bachelor's degree in business, international commerce or any other related field. A high level of understanding of/expertise in customs environment, distribution and manufacturing. 5-7 years of specific experience in customs brokerage with classification expertise. Strong technical skills in the field of Canadian Customs Compliance as well as US Customs Compliance, especially in HS Classification. Mexico expertise would be an asset. Current Canadian CCS (Certified Customs Specialist) designation would be an asset. Engineering knowledge or understanding would be an asset, especially in the automotive and other vehicle industry. Very good understanding of trade compliance terminology. Self-motivated and a high level of autonomy.High-level computer skills; including data extraction between various software packages. Proficiency in Excel is essential, Power BI would be an asset. SAP-GTS knowledge would be an asset. Fluent in French and English. Spanish would an asset.THE ROAD SHOULD BELONG TO EVERYONE.
