**Looking to begin your career as an Automotive Technician?**

K-Tech Automotive has an exciting opportunity for a full-time **Automotive Technician or **full-time second, third
- or fourth-year **Automotive Technician apprentice**, who has general repairs and diagnostics on various models of passenger vehicles and light trucks in accordance with company policy and procedures. Performs all responsibilities with a focus on the needs of our customers and in accordance with our Quality Standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure that all repairs and preventative maintenance are completed according to the manufacturer’s specifications and guidelines.
- Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Types of repairs will include brakes, onboard computer diagnostic and drivability, suspension, and tires.
- Perform vehicle servicing/repairing to maintain company standards.
- Maintain the work area in a safe and clean condition.
- Perform related duties as required.

**Major Essential Duties**
- Works alongside an assigned service technician to learn to perform quality vehicle service maintenance and repairs.
- Learning how to fix and maintain a vehicle.
- Test drive vehicles, park them, and bring them to the team.
- Always maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Follow all quality control processes and procedures.
- Maintain a safe driving record.
- Other duties may be assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must possess basic car maintenance and repair knowledge.
- Self-motivated and demonstrates good judgment.
- Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Team oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining high customer service.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship, Internship / Co-op

**Salary**: $19.00-$30.00 per hour

**Benefits**:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay
- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Victoria, BC V8T 2L7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- automotive technician: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver's License (preferred)
- Journeyman (preferred)
