Bakery Clerk

**Job Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting in the daily operations of our bakery. You will play a key role in ensuring that our products are presented beautifully and that customers have a pleasant shopping experience. A passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation are essential.

**Responsibilities**
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with product selection.
- Operate the cash register, handling transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery area, including equipment and work surfaces.
- Prepare and display baked goods attractively to entice customers.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly.

**Skills**
- Proficient in food handling practices to ensure quality and safety.
- Experience in cashiering or operating POS systems is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques within a bakery setting is advantageous.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation practices.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $16.55-$20.00 per hour

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Food Handler Certification (preferred)
