**Position Information**:
The Certified Pedorthist is responsible for the assessment, design, manufacture, fit and modification of foot appliances and footwear for the purposes of alleviating painful or debilitating conditions and providing assistance for abnormalities or limited actions of the lower limb. Patients are referred to the Clinic by Ottawa Hospital Physicians, and local physicians and surgeons.

**Temporary position until approximately April 04, 2025.**

**Rotation/Shifts**:
Days, 8 hours shifts.

**Basic Requirements**:

- Certified Pedorthist, Certified Chiropodist or Certified Orthotist;
- Three (3) years experience in lower extremity biomechanics;
- Excellent hands-on skills (using grinder, band saw, casting of foot for orthotics)
- Excellent clinical teaching and education skills;
- Excellent diagnostic/assessment skills;
- Attention to detail;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Excellent team skills;
- Sound judgment and problem-solving abilities;
- Eligible to work in Canada.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with shoe-fitting;
- Experience with custom shoes;
- Experience with sales and inventory management;
- Familiarity with multiple casting methods;
- Familiarity with in-shoe pressure measurement systems.
- Proficiency in English and French oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
