Yard Associate

**A Yard Associate is expected to load and unload material using forklifts, pallet jacks, lumber carts, etc. and store them in the appropriate locations. They must also be able to contribute to a safe working area and must be aware of potential hazards. Yard associates are also required to provide exceptional customer service to customers making it crucial they're familiar with inventory, pricing, and return/exchange policies, and may be required to estimate prices on outside jobs for customers.**
**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Keep yard and warehouses neat and clean.
- Effectively receive orders, restock, maintain and organize inventory.
- Providing consistent, quality customer service including product knowledge, pricing, assisting in carrying large/heavy merchandise, loading customers vehicles, etc.
- Deliver and pick-up orders using company vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload deliveries
- Take on additional duties assigned by management
- Communicate effectively with customers, management, and employees and work as a team.
- Use appropriate safety precautions to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, saw, lumber cart, branding machine, etc.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekdays and bi-weekly Saturdays.
- Must be able to comprehend written and printed materials, as well as information presented in numerical form.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work co-operatively in a team environment
- Ability to move materials weighting up to 100 lbs to and from the yard, removing from pallets, trucks, etc.
- Full G License required.
- D-Z license asset but not necessary.
