PZ Cussons has an exciting agenda of growing Brands and introducing leading locally developed NPD. We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced
_Category Development Manager_ to join our business.
- An exciting opportunity currently exists for a passionate and commercially sound Category Development Manager to join the commercial team at PZ Cussons.
- The Category Manager will work collaboratively with our Sales and Marketing team to bring category strategy to life with key customers, across our local Baby Food, and global Beauty/Personal Care portfolio
- This dynamic, highly valued and rewarding role is responsible for market leading Baby Food brand Rafferty’s Garden and supporting the execution of our global brands St.Tropez, Fudge, Child’s Farm

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide category analysis and recommendations across areas of promotion; distribution, pricing, product mix and profitability within the Business Planning Cycle
- Lead the customer range reviews across key customers with timely communication and involvement of all stakeholders
- Support brand and sales in the creation, and post-launch assessment of NPD
- Support Sales teams in establishing strong partnerships with key customers via JBPs and range reviews that incorporate shopper, consumer and category insights and solutions
- Gap analysis and identification of strategic initiatives to unlock future growth

About you:

- The successful applicant will have strong analytical experience in:

- crafting simple stories, and actionable recommendation from complex data (strong in the use of Nielsen/Aztec software)
- analysing brand P&L’ s to make commercial sound recommendations
- Ideally you will be working in a similar Category Development role or as a Category Development Analyst (3+ years’ experience within FMCG is desired)
- You will need to be comfortable in front of customers and senior leadership, with the ability to lead and influence internally and externally
- You will be a proactive, self-starter who is comfortable working autonomously as well as within and leading cross functional teams
- ..and demonstrate strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask
