**AGENCY RELATIONS ASSISTANT (2 positions)**

Our mission is to relieve hunger in Mississauga by providing and promoting access to healthy and appropriate food for people in need.

**OBJECTIVES**
- Put your theoretical knowledge in social sciences, research, data collection and data analysis into action in a busy non-profit. Use the opportunity to work with and learn from experienced non-profit professionals.
- Be part of The Mississauga Food Bank’s annual Client Survey and contribute to the crucial process of program improvisation and growth.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Data collection and management for Client Survey 2023**
- Collect data through telephone interviews with clients using a structured survey.
- Visit select agencies within The Mississauga Food Bank’s network to conduct in-person client interviews.
- Coordinate volunteers who are supporting data collection.
- Keep track of the progress and completion rates in the data collection process.

**Data analysis for Client Survey 2023**
- Support with data analysis to evaluate client profiles and understand trends around client satisfaction with The Mississauga Food Bank’s program.
- Make data-driven recommendations for program improvement and growth.
- Present key findings and recommendations in The Mississauga Food Bank’s inter-departmental meeting.

**Other tasks**
- Support staff with implementing other new or ongoing projects.

**MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS**

**To be eligible, applicants must**
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment.
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial legislation and regulations

**DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**
- Studying for a college diploma or university degree in social work, social service or social sciences.
- Prior experience with conducting research and surveys in a charity/non-profit environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of a secondary language is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to delegate and lead.
- Flexible team player who prioritizes positive and meaningful interaction with others.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong MS Office and G-Suite skills (all programs). We are a cloud-based, paperless environment.
- Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality at all times.

Position type: 35 hours/week, hourly

Working hours: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Compensation: $23.15/hour
