**Export Internship - Business Development Representative**

Stark International Inc., a leading transformer and substation service and maintenance company in North America, is looking for a driven, self-motivated individual with a background in international trade and business development, to help us grow our USA business

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, this is a full-time, Mon-Fri one-year term position based in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, with opportunity for full-time, permanent employment following successful completion of internship.

We offer a full range of transformer and substation field services, including transformer oil diagnostics, vacuum and oil processing services, transformer installation, commissioning, repair and maintenance, transformer and substation electrical maintenance and acceptance testing, oil supply and disposal, transformer relocation. Our target clients include utilities and power generation, industrial facilities (ie: chemical plants, oil and gas, refineries, pulp and paper, mines and metal processing), transformer manufacturers, and both large and small high voltage an EPC contractors.

**Role Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Generate revenue for assigned new target accounts
- Identify and reach out to new target customers in decision-making roles in the industries we serve, to develop new business
- Daily outreach by phone to qualify potential customers and book meetings - with the goal of assessing the size of their transformer fleets and substations numbers, and project needs relevant to our service offerings
- Travel regularly to attend in-person meetings to develop new business, identify specific project opportunities to be quoted, and to maintain your existing clientele as you develop your book of business
- Maintaining data/activity in CRM daily
- Attend regular team building and pricing meetings with management and colleagues in the sales team

**Supplemental pay types**:
Commission pay on top of base salary

**Willingness to travel**:

- 50% (required)

**Work Location**: In person
- Be a graduating student at a Nova Scotia university or college, within eighteen months.
- Both international and domestic students accepted.
- Academic training in business/marketing or internationally trade focused.
- A passion for learning and growing a business's export goals.
- A minimum of 40,000 for a one-year contract with the program, and any other benefits provided by the employer.
