Transporting loaded and empty trailers from GFS Distribution Centers or from point-to-point via night transit in a timely manner. **This position is located out of **Kamloops.**

**WAGE**
- Hourly wages up to $37.01 per hour

**HOURS OF WORK**
- Typically 40 hours/week, with opportunity for overtime?
- Three (3) 12-hour days (Wed, Thurs, Fri) with 4 days off per week
- Shift Time: 7PM to 7AM

**REQUIREMENTS**
- **Class 1 license with clean drivers abstract**
- **Potential to receive LCV Certification**
- **Requirements (Min. 2 years of driving experience; Min. 150kms driven on a tractor trailer)**
- This position requires punctuality, problem solving and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently and also function in a team environment.
- Must be goal oriented with a positive “can-do” attitude.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of this job including lifting, pushing, pulling of products.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Collaborates with the Manager, Assistant Transportation Manager and/or dispatcher for work assignments, changes in assignments and on-time delivery performance.
- Perform proper equipment maintenance, monitor reefer temperature, and report mechanical issues and damages in a timely manner.
- Complete daily check-ins in a timely manner with no errors.
- Perform daily pre/post trip inspection of vehicles and equipment. Completes check in process accurately and on time. Manage paperwork to include register, credits, pick-ups, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
