Overall, you will have a direct impact on improving the performance of our business and ensuring the properties we manage are maintained to the highest standard.

Description: We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Bookkeeper to join our team on a part-time basis. The focus will be on Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. The remaining time will be dedicated to essential financial tasks, including cash-flow management, financial projections, and analysis.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the day to day financial transactions and maintain accurate records of all financial activities.
- Record and reconcile financial data in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Process invoices, prepare payments, and ensure timely collection.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate and up to date financial information.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies identified during reconciliation.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Generate financial reports for management, providing insights into the company's financial performance.
- Collaborate with management to develop and monitor budgets.
- Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within the finance department.
- Implement best practices to streamline financial processes.
- Collaborate with other members of the team to achieve departmental goals.

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years of proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $26.00-$28.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Hamilton, ON L8M 1P2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- DCS / DEC (preferred)

**Experience**:

- QuickBooks: 2 years (preferred)
- Bookkeeping: 5 years (preferred)
