**Job Overview**
The Social Media and Marketing Coordinator is involved in developing and implementing Easton's Group of Hotels based communication adhering to the Standard Operating Practices. The social media and marketing coordinator will assist with promoting the company and hotels by developing and executing social media strategies and plans for brand building, innovation, corporate promotions, and internal communications initiatives through the use of, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc. This role will also provide mentorship and necessary training, allowing you to hone your content creation skills for future roles.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Assisting with developing, implementing, and measuring external and internal social media posts for all (22) Easton’s Group of Hotels properties.
- Assist with the creation and execution of Food and Beverage Outlet promotions using various platforms, such as OpenTable, Link Tree, Instagram, etc.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of Social Media strategy and communicate results to the hotels every quarter or as needed.
- Develop and implement online communications strategies, ensuring alignment with internal communications strategies, including day-to-day content development, content plans, strategy, and functional enhancements.
- Assist with various annual social media campaigns for fundraisers, philanthropy, and other events.
- Serve as junior editor and provide creative direction for SM platforms.
- Liaise and collaborate with Easton’s Group of Hotels full-service properties to assist with onsite content creation, promotion, events, and onsite photoshoots.
- Assisting with all pre-hotel opening tasks, such as influencer campaigns, copywriting and onboarding new associates using social media SOPs.
- Monitor and respond to customer inquiries and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Identify opportunities for user-generated content and user engagement initiatives.
- Assist in the planning, executing, and monitoring marketing campaigns across all channels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
- Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
**QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS**:
- Current experience in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing and Hotel Hospitality.
- Excellent command of (written) English, including creative, solid copywriting and editing skills.
- French written language is an asset in assisting two Pointe-Claire, Quebec hotels.
- Advanced knowledge of Social Media platforms - Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
- Knowledge of analytics, tracking and social media monitoring and scheduling.
- Willingness and ability to create social media posts daily or upon request.
- Knowledge of digital media software - Canva or other graphic design software is preferred.
- Detail-oriented and possess excellent verbal, written, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel to be on site at Easton’s Group of Hotel’s GTA properties is required weekly. Mileage will be compensated.
- Experience in Hotel and Food and Beverage promotion an asset.
**Skills**:
- A clear understanding of post timing, placement, and effectiveness of messaging.
- Ability to analyze post timings for effective impact on engagement and following.
- Ability to work on one’s own to create posts for approval.
- Be customer-focused and understand the differences in the audience regarding Easton’s Group of Hotels and other hotels.
- Must be able to multi-task when working within tight timelines for posting.
- Strong attention to detail, team-oriented and a self-starter
- Must have a firm understanding of all Social Media Platforms and their effectiveness in message.
- Must possess excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills with strong editorial abilities.
