**Job Description**:
The telecommunications manager is responsible for managing and planning all ISD‑related activities. Working with his team, the incumbent will carry out telecommunications planning and maintenance based on the company’s needs and standards. He will also be in charge of compliance and various aspects of strategic development

**Responsibilities**
- Help the directors and vice-president of ISD Operations establish core strategies, business plans, and the feasibility of future deployments;
- Work closely on strategic matters with all other executives, professionals, and employees;
- Initiate and actively contribute to the development of annual investment budgets;
- Independently manage a corporate budget;
- Manage all support contracts and service agreements, as well as all associated billing;
- Take part in the relevant conference calls, meetings, and conferences;
- Formulate strategic approaches for the different areas of ISD;
- Evaluate projects and make sure they serve relevant objectives;
- Manage and develop a team (hiring, evaluations, absence management, training, etc.);
- Provide day-to-day support for corporate systems;
- Coordinate diagnostics for network
- and phone-related issues;
- Introduce support and integration processes and make sure they are followed;
- Recommend new work methods (tools or processes) to improve the team's efficiency;
- Ensure that the team complies with Transat’s development method;
- Fill in when the director is on vacation.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in IT
- 10 years of IT experience, including 5 years as a team supervisor
- Organizational skills, enthusiasm, and sense of responsibility
- Expertise in network technologies and telephony
- Proven management skills
- Ability to foster camaraderie between team members
- Motivational leadership style
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Excellent approach to customer service
- Capacity for long‑term planning and ability to craft a strategic vision
- Fluency in spoken and written English and French
