**Reports To**: General Counsel

**Job Summary**:
As Legal Counsel at Chrysalis your purpose will be to support our General Counsel and be the primary point of contact for the Legal team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Act as the initial point of contact within Legal; and triage, respond to, or escalate inquiries
- Support internal business circles and subsidiaries and provide advice on a wide variety of matters, including licensing, technology, marketing, data privacy and security
- Review, draft and negotiate various types of contracts, including inbound and outbound software license agreements, marketing agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and partner agreements
- Develop and provide internal training on Legal policies and initiatives

**Qualifications**:

- Member in good standing of the Law Society of British Columbia (Must)
- 2-3 years of experience with a law firm providing services for technology clients and/or relevant in-house experience with a technology company
- Significant knowledge and experience with the negotiation and preparation of a wide range of sophisticated commercial agreements.
- Ability to work independently to manage the entire contract process from initial contact to execution
- Ability to handle a high volume of work, multi-task and prioritize workload efficiently and effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Confident and personable with a track record for building strong internal and external relationships
- Self-motivated with a high sense of personal ethics and integrity
