Sidewalk Plow Operator

**Position Title**:Sidewalk Plow Operator (Present - April 15, 2024)

**Reports To**:Parks and Recreation Officer

**THE POSITION**

The Town of Erin is seeking an experienced individual to fill a Part Time position as a Sidewalk Plow Operator. As a Sidewalk Plow Operator, the main duty is to maintain all Town sidewalks through the winter season and major snow events. This position will also be responsible for general maintenance and upkeep of equipment, in conjunction with the Supervisor.

**Position Requirements**
- Completion of Grade 12 education;
- ORFA Recreation Facility Operators Designation is an asset;
- **A valid class “G” license is required;**:

- Previous experience working in a parks & rec setting is considered an asset;
- Operating various types of machinery such as grass cutting equipment and an ice re-surfacer is desirable.

**Major Responsibilities - Facilities**
- Maintain neat and organized records of operations
- Operate and maintain various pieces of equipment including (but not limited to); JohnDeere3039 tractor, Trackless Sidewalk plow, and hand tools.
- Perform minor repairs to equipment
- Plow all sidewalks and salt public areas within the Town
- Provide excellent customer service to the Residents of the Town, where applicable
- Conduct inspections on machinery and reports any concerns to the Manager
- Perform duties in compliance with minimum standard requirements as directed by the Ministry.

**Working Conditions**
- The incumbent in this position will work primarily on Mondays and Tuesdays, however, some flexibility may be required for on-call work.
- The compensation range for this role is $30.06 per hour.
- Working condition for this position may include inclement weather
